About Project Intent
Project Intent began as an exploration of how artificial intelligence would change software architecture and engineering delivery.
The inquiry quickly became broader.
AI does not merely improve implementation. It changes the economics of expertise, analysis, coordination, leadership, and decision-making. Practices designed for a world of scarce implementation may become sources of delay when intelligence and execution are increasingly accessible.
Project Intent is an independent body of work developing the principles, vocabulary, working papers, and operating models needed for that transition.
It is deliberately:
- vendor-neutral,
- implementation-agnostic,
- grounded in practical engineering leadership,
- skeptical of unnecessary process,
- and open to revision as evidence and experience improve the ideas.

Alan Florschuetz is an entrepreneur, executive advisor, and organizational architect with more than three decades of experience in technology leadership, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise transformation.
His career has spanned building large-scale self-service platforms, leading engineering organizations, scaling operations across complex governance environments, and developing AI-first approaches to orchestration and software delivery.
